Vernetta
Local artist/photographer Vernetta has a strong interest in developing her photographic skills and capturing images of the locality.
She seeks out local landmarks and iconic images and has accumulated an extensive database of relevant photographs.
A mixed media artist, she takes the captured images as starting points to create engaging artworks using her skills of drawing, painting and printmaking.
Since retiring from teaching she has taken part in a number of courses at UWIC and is presently exploring art photography at tactile Bosch with lecturer Kim Fielding.

I have been an artist for 30 years.
I spent much time teaching art and crafts to children and adults.
Living near the sea, a lot of my work is inspired by the changing moods of the elements and nature of the light that surrounds me.
